Designing the Home
Putting the finishing touches on a room are key. I learned that from HGTV. And might I say fun. Now I am not nor will I ever claim to be a designer, however adding pictures and plants to a room makes a world of difference.
I am happy to say that there are still some items yet to arrive as well as some that still need hanging but here are some shots of what I did so far.

Family
Ahhh, the joys of family. We had the opportunity to have Mike, Rose, Helene, and Tom over on Sunday afternoon. It was a great time. Went by very fast. Before we knew it, it was 6 pm. Very relaxed time of enjoying each others company. We wanted to get a group shot and here are the results.
We were joking as we took the picture that it would be amazing if we could all be smiling and no eyes closed. I think we succeeded.
I unfortunately did not get pictures of the food but Bill did an amazing job with pulled pork from the smoker. (Waited over two years for that. BTW - we are still waiting for the ribs.) We grilled up some yellow, red, and green peppers and made a pepper salsa. We also had asparagus that was coated with evoo, Italian seasoning, and kosher salt. aslo roasted on the grill. Cut up veggies. And finally some bicolor Jersey corn!!! YUMMY!!! Oh wait, I forgot, we also had banana and pineapple kabobs coated with lemonade glaze!!!

Almost
I am so excited to report that the school room is almost ready. I spent several hours the last two days putting it together. Here is a before picture:

And some after shots.
The white board still needs to be hung in the wall.
I needed to hang up some art work from last year. They did a great job so I wanted to display some.
Being in a home will certainly make schooling much better. The designated spot really makes a huge difference.
13 days and counting.

Such a Sensitive Soul
Oh my Josh! He is so sensitive. Today he discovered that I threw away one of his games. I wasn't trying to hide that I did it; I did it weeks ago. I noticed some pieces were missing plus it was a game that was for 3-6 year olds. I figured he was well passed it being 8 and all. Plus he hasn't been around the game for over two years!!!! Oh well, that will teach me.
He was extremely upset went running and screaming upstairs to calm himself down. Several hours later he came back and apologized for his actions. Prior to that he went looking on ebay to make sure he was still able to get the game. Yup, there is one there going off in 4 days, we will be monitoring that one!
I learned my lesson in this. I will now ask him if all is okay. The trouble is that he doesn't like parting with anything so I may have to come up with alternatives in order for him to let go or I will have a house full of junk, I mean stuff, that he wants to keep.

Rainy Sunday
Sunday was suppose to be a day of organizing, organizing, and more organizing. Instead it was a day of rest, rest, and more rest. I think I took two mini naps. Enjoyed watching the travel channel about the top 10 places to visit at the west coast. Definitely want to visit the Grand Canyon.
Saw a cool rainbow due to the rain. Oh yeah, forgot to mention it was rainy. I know that is what added to the laziness. I worked hard yesterday and am thankful that I don't need to go out in the morning so I will be able to tackle the school room area. Still trying to get that section all put together for before school begins. Plan on beginning after Labor Day. But may change that due to the fact that I have to log 180 days. And I don't want to go to far into June. Oh decisions, decisions, decisions!!!

Last (hopefully) of the boxes
Here's hoping this is the last of the boxes. We finally got the bookcase that was much needed. And with a sore back I completed the remaining book boxes.

Just in case you don't remember. I don't like moving. I will officially party when we are done. No sign of that happening soon. So I plug onward and upward.

WoW Picnic
This Momma is exhausted. After departing way too early this morning and not getting much sleep, I am ready for bed. We made great time.
Had a wonderful time meeting people that my family plays with online.

Cold in August
Sitting by the pool at 9:00 am with Josh for his swim lessons and I am wondering why it is soooo cold. I have a sweatshirt on and another covering my very cold legs. These poor kids. Our instructors were so cold they are actually taking the kids on a safety walk around the pool complex.

Dinner Guests
Okay so I forgot to take pictures but we had our first dinner guests here last night (Sunday). The Cherry Family. Rachel and Gabriel came home with me from church. They even went to the grocery store with me as I was in need of some items for our dinner time together. I also needed some lunch since they were with me!
Around 4 is Adam arrived and it was his first time here!!! We had some nice time together discussing all sorts of things. I really appreciate all his wisdom and insight on topics!
Then around 6 is Jenn made it here. She was at a bridal shower in North Jersey. She arrived just in time for dinner: chicken, rice, beans, sweet potato fries, and broccoli. Yummy!!!
Then dessert was skinny cow ice cream sandwiches. I love these! So do the rest of my family.
Before we knew it it was time for them to depart. All-in-all a great time!

New Beginnings
Our church had decided to add a campus to be able to reach more of Mercer County. Today marked the 1st meeting (on a Sunday) for the Robbinsville Campus. The sanctuary and building felt a little quieter and empty this morning. I am not sure how it went over at Robbinsville as I have not heard.
Pastor Scott spoke on 1 Peter today and had some key points where we could apply scripture to our lives. He summed up the book of 1 Peter as being obedient. So while I am not truly a fan of the whole idea, I am submitting this new stage of our church to God.
