Bounty

While this post may feel like it veers from my normal posts about my family and our activities, it kinda doesn't.

The Lord has been stirring my heart over this past year as to all we have and all He has done for us.

So as I was reading a devotion during the beginning of the year, that challenged the readers to come up with a word that describes the year you would like to have.  (Now I know that that doesn't make it so but I liked the idea).  The word that spoke to me was release.  Release all the ugly, nonsensical, meaningless, distractible stuff that would prevent Him to work fully in my life.  (The Bounty).

As you read this I pray that you are able to let go, release, all the hurt, pain, anger, disappointment, fear, uncertainty, worry, and whatever else is binding you; to see the bounty.

Whether you are in the midst of trials, struggles, or pain, I KNOW there is bounty. Cling to that, hold on to that, sit at His feet with that knowledge.

So no matter what, I will bask in the bounty.

Here are some photos that represent the bounty in my life:

Award

Abigail is my child they said should be left behind. Every year she has received an academic excellence award for at least one of her classes. That requires an average of 97 or better for 3 out of 4 marking periods. So to those of you who have been told something about your child that goes against your knowledge of your child, I say Fight!  You are your child's biggest advocate.

Saying Goodbye

Always difficult to send off a loved one. Julia led a wonderful fulfilled life. 94 years young. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her dogs.

Sweet 16 Party

It's that time of year for Abigail and her friends.
Reagan is the birthday girl - in the white - and the other crew is from our church. We are blessed.

What my Week Was Like

So I had the privilege to attend a retreat Monday through Wednesday. Presented my such godly women that I was truly revived through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Then to finish my week, got to spend time with this little peanut.
Not suck a great picture but my niece is
Dancing. Too cute.
