Easter Service

Our Church, Calvary Chapel of Mercer County,  had a combined service for Easter at Rider University. I was able to enjoy worship but couldn't hear message as I was helping with Children's church.

Totally did not gat any pictures there. Oops. But it was fun.

Serving in Christ

Head on over to this blog about us.  Our church, Calvary Chapel Mercer County, is hitting the social media hard.  We were asked by the lovely woman running it if she could interview us.  We of course said yes!!  Here is the link to that  http://blog.welcometocalvary.org/

What is that taste...?

I tasted bitterness today.  It actually consumed my entire thoughts.  It went down to my very soul.  I didn't like it.  But thankfully the Lord allowed me to taste humble pie.  While also not my favorite, it was much better than the bitterness.

It all comes from applying my Abs to school.  My very character and parenting felt at question.  This annoyed me, angered me, and even had me questioning what God was doing.

But some time later.  After praying, after listening, and after calming down, I realized I had committed a grave sin.  I needed to seek forgiveness.  And I did just that.  Afterwards, I felt lighter, freer.

I still would love prayer for Abs and the future.  Don't know what is going to happen but know that she is His and He has her best interest at heart!!!

Mini Retreat

Was able to spend some rime away with sisters on Christ. Had time of worship, praise, and fellowship.
Dawn shared with us and I especially like her statement that sharing should be brief, biblical, and beneficial.
That sums up the weekend for me. Enjoy some photos.

TOMS

TOMS Blog

I absolutely love this company. Today they had a One day without shoes event in order to bring attention to the many kids that don't have any shoes. I went without shoes for most of the day today. The kids did have a dentist appointment and due to health reasons, shoes had to be on my feet. I did what I could! Anyway, Just take a look around and if you can't purchase from them, can you at least make them known to all your family and friends. BTW- I have two pair and Abs has one. They are very comfortable.

Design

When we moved into the house the previous owners took the hall and dining room lights upon moving out. We found the hall light really fast when we moves in. But I didn't find the dining room one until last week. While I was out yesterday Bill and Josh put it up for me. I can't believe how different the room looks. I know it is hard to see in the picture but they complement each other. I am just thrilled that the design of the house is coming together.

Dresses

Saturday was shopping for dresses for Allie and Kev's wedding.  The bridemaids dresses were already picked out we just needed to go to the shop and get measurements taken so that we could place the order for the dresses.  (July 30th is not that far away.)  Many hours later.... (It was a very small shop with only one woman working and the party before us was six in total.)  We got it all worked out and then went off to the mall to try to find jr. bridesmaid dresses.  We found something we really liked, Abs picked it out, but did not find the size.  Asked the saleswoman for help with was a bust.  We decided to take matters in our own hands and unfortunately as of 8 pm we were still unable to procure said dress.  But we have other thoughts that we will attempt this coming week.    Here is the happy couple!!!

Testing, bonding, and carpooling

This week has been a week of getting up early for testing. The kids are testing at Ste's school. So we have been carpooling with Barb and hers.
Since it is far away we tend to stay close to the school and bond. Every day we went to starbucks, dunkin donuts, or Panera. The highlight of my week.
