Chocolate and Cheese

Friday brought us to the chocolate factory of Cailler. Owned by Nestlé. The factory tour was cute and at the end you got to taste all kinds of chocolate. I was informed ny John that I would not want it all. I was shocked to hear such a statement. However, I must eat some humble pie and say the man knows of which he speaks. I even avoided some of the ones I did not want to try but nonetheless I still was not into trying anymore. After purchasing some we headed over to Gruyeres were they have cheese. Prior to going to the factory we went to the Chateau and took a tour. Castles are fun! The views just breathtaking. From there we went down to cheese factory. Not too impressed. We missed the factory during operation so it was self guided. Didn't really have to do that.
Château du Gruyeres as we drive closer to town.
Walking over to Chocolate factory.

Owned by Nestle.  (Henry Nestle is Swiss)

Tasting the cocoa beans.  Yuck!

Tasting room.  See the glass tray.  There were a total of 8 but some had several different types.

You can get people to do anything you want for some chocolate.

ooey goodness

So handsome
Just down from town of Gruyeres.  The cows are very important part of their cheese and chocolate.

The village of Gruyeres

Josh was running around climbing on all the low walls.  Such a boy!

Views are amazing.
