Last Crazy Tuesday!

I am doing the happy dance as today marked the last crazy Tuesday of the school year!!  Joshua finished his gymnastics, Stephen hung out with a friend, and Abigail had her AWANA awards at night.  The awards night was the culmination for the whole day for me as they had an ice cream sundae social after the looooong awards.  I understand that it is exciting for kids to get awards but it is extremely boring when your kid gets none.  That's right - zilch, zippo, nada!  (She thought everybody would walk away with some type of award.)  My beloved Abigail.  She really was hoping that something would come her way but none did.  I don't know if I should be happy or sad for her.  Happy because she should want to go because it is all about learning bible verses not about how many awards I can take home.  Sad because she did work hard all year and got nothing for it.  (Well I guess I am supposed to tell her that she "got" to know God's word.  I just question how much she really remembers.)   Anyway, I am ecstatic that this day has come!!!!   Below are some photos that captured the day:

I had turned the camera over to Bill for the awards as my sinuses were in rare form again.  Needless to say, no photos of Abigail.  He was very nice and did capture photos of friends who received awards but not one shot of my girl!

Basketball, Awana, and great weather

Today marked the finale of basketball for Stephen, the AWANA grand prix for Abigail, and gorgeous weather for all.  Since both things occurred at the same time it meant that I did not get to see Abigail race her car.  Bill and Joshua went with her.  I was off with Stephen.  Stephen's team ended up tied for first place.  Let me just say it was a nail biter. Double overtime!!!!  I really was surprised they pulled out the win.  Truthfully there were some funky calls by the refs, but I do believe it benefitted both teams at various times.  Loads of shots were hitting the rim, even swirling around the rim but would not sink.  It was not a high scoring game, they never are, but it was a good defensive game.  It was nice for Stephen to have my parents in the stands routing him on.  Thanks Grandma and Pop-pop.

Abigail did not receive any trophies this year but she did have fun and got a blue ribbon for participation.  Way to go Abigail.  Let me just say that she gets no help from us.  Part of that is because she doesn't want help!  She likes to do things by herself.

Stuffy

Well I thought I was finished with my cold.  But it appears to have come back in a different form.  I am soooooo stuffy.  I hate it when I can't breathe because usually I don't sleep well.  I did use some Afrin last night but I don't like relying on that.  So this evening I am praying for clear passages.   And Tuesdays are such a crazy evening here in this household.  It usually begins around 1:30p with gymnastics for Joshua but they cancelled that due to no heat at the facility.  But before I knew it it was 5:27p  and I needed to get Abi fed and ready for AWANA.  Now I am in between taking Stephen to basketball and then from there to Abigail again and then back to Stephen.  (I know some of you are aware of this schedule and I apologize for the rehash).  Well just as I finished typing this Stephen's coach called to change the practice as there is a problem with the baskets at the school we practice at.  So I don't have to do my crazy night.  He will have practice on Thursday.  Yea!!!
