Dresses
Saturday was shopping for dresses for Allie and Kev's wedding. The bridemaids dresses were already picked out we just needed to go to the shop and get measurements taken so that we could place the order for the dresses. (July 30th is not that far away.) Many hours later.... (It was a very small shop with only one woman working and the party before us was six in total.) We got it all worked out and then went off to the mall to try to find jr. bridesmaid dresses. We found something we really liked, Abs picked it out, but did not find the size. Asked the saleswoman for help with was a bust. We decided to take matters in our own hands and unfortunately as of 8 pm we were still unable to procure said dress. But we have other thoughts that we will attempt this coming week. Here is the happy couple!!!

Shopping with Eldest
Stephen and I had to go out shopping for a new winter coat for the boy as he has not had one for two years now. Besides that we needed to stop at the bank so he could deposit his checks from his birthday, last month. We also went to the hair cuttery so he could get a new do, and then finally to Chik-Fil-A to use a gift card, also from his birthday. It was a nice couple of hours with my son!

Ugh, Shopping
I really do not enjoy shopping. Admittedly there can be brief moments that it is okay. But shopping at Christmas time is a chore. I usually prefer to shop online and they get delivered either right to my door or recipients door. Easy peasy. But due to our trip away I was unable to get all things completed online. Sooooo I had to go out. I was out shopping for over 4 hours yesterday and I am sad to say that I am not done. :( I only have 2 more stops today besides grocery shopping for the weekend.
I was a bit of a scrooge yesterday as I was waiting in line. You see there was a woman who had to exchange some clothes and she wanted the cashier to help her locate them. The lady behind the counter said it was not possible as she has a line of customers waiting. She did get very uppity with the woman. Anyway before shopper walked off to located items to exchange she asked if she had to wait back in line and the cashier said yes!!! The shopper got very indignant - she was very loud and had caused people to stare. The saleslady told her to ask the line of people and two said to go to the back. I just sat silent. I know I should have blessed that woman by allowing her to go in front of me but I was not in the mood. Having worked retail for many many years I know that the saleslady would have been kinder if the shopper lady was kinder. Today as I go out I do pray I can be a blessing to those I come in contact with. I must remember that Jesus is the reason for the season!!!!
PS - I know I know, Israel pictures are coming. It takes a lot to go through thousands of pictures!!!
Thanks for your patience.

Shopping Night
My eldest is just growing leaps and bounds!! This evening after dinner, we went to the store for some much needed sneakers and socks! Then off to Kohl's for much needed pants! The boy has grown so tall his old jeans are floods!
It was a nice time spent with him but let me just say he is a little picky. I remember now my Mom taking the boys shopping and how frustrating it was for her as they are extremely picky. I can relate to her! My boy is soooo much worse than my girl. I already sees signs in Joshua about his pickiness! Cra zy!!!
As crazy as it was, it is always nice to have some alone time with each child regardless of what the occasion is. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I am tired though! I hate hate hate shopping.

Lots and Lots of shopping
This lady here just spent 4 hours on Friday at various malls shopping for clothing for my kids. Let me just say that that was surprisingly not too bad. If any of you don't know, I must tell you that I don't like to shop! Yes, I know that is an anomaly but it is true. So imagine my surprise when I totaled up the hours yesterday and realized that it all went okay. We began our outing looking for clothing for Stephen. In the past few months he really has grown into young man sizes. We spent hours doing that. If I am doing this I make them try on the clothing so that I don't have to go back to the store and exchange.
We then enjoyed some lunch in the food court. The young ones hopped on the carousel. Then a little more shopping. After that it was home in the car. We were on a time schedule as Abigail had her rehearsal for her recital.
On the way home from piano class, Abigail and I stopped at Hoagie Haven for our dinner. (We got 3 long subs for dinner.) Yummy!!
Then it was out the door again for Stephen to his youth group. It was on the way home from there that the young ones and I stopped at a different mall to shop for shoes for Abigail (we also looked for a dress for Uncle Mike and Rose's wedding - no find yet) and more summer shorts for Joshua.
I think this year really marked a first for us. Having to buy all 3 kids new clothing. Abigail's clothes shopping was done online a few weeks ago. I am definitely going to be in for a shock when the credit card bill arrives. Yikes!!!
I do hope all the shopping is done. I know we will still have to find wedding clothes for everyone and that can be more annoying than what we normally wear. Those clothes just sit different and my kids are not used to being formal. As I am a jeans and t-shirt kinda gal, I rarely think to buy them fancy clothing.
