Intentional Splatter

This is so much fun. These ladies were creating art to bring the idea with them when they journey to Belize this summer. www.spacetospire.com

Another rainy (Mon)day!

Well here we are again with more rain.  I have noticed that it has been occurring lots on Monday mornings.  It really sticks with me as these are out art days.  The weather really hampers the activity of playing outdoors and running around on the lawns of the church.   But thankfully we go over to the library.  Love, love, love that we decided to do this.  What a nice place to hang out and get work done.  It is so open and airy.  And very very quiet.   You can hear some hustle and bustle but all-in-all a great place to work.

I actually think my Abs works harder here.  I had to go check to see if they had a book in for Joshua and while I was walking back I was thoroughly impressed that we was studiously working!!!

Let's hope the weather changes soon as it does affect the baseball too!  There have already been changes to the schedule because of it!

Ugh, Monday again!

Okay so it really is official, I am not a fan of Mondays!  I used to be okay with them, in fact one could even say I liked them.  But now NO!    I think it is because we leave at 10:30 and don't arrive back home until 2pm.  I know that is not tremendously long but schooling in the van is becoming annoying (especially during these very cold days).  Inevitable someone forgets some work, or they get hurt, or they can't get comfortable. Believe me I get it!  But this is how it works.  I would also guess that I am annoyed because they do have a room at the church we could work in but it is freezing.   I mean so cold it hurts to write!  And we tried writing with gloves on, uh, it doesn't work!   I tried earlier in the year to leave Abigail at home to work while I dropped off Josh then I would race back to get her so we could pick up Josh and eat lunch in the car before Abs went into class.  Sounds crazy just writing it down.  It didn't work.  I was going to try the library as there is a branch only two blocks away, but it was waaaaaay too crowded and it is hard to teach when you need to be quiet.   I cannot wait until May.  That is when it is scheduled to be done.  They do like it though.  Well Abs more than Josh.

But here are some photos of them playing in the snow before Abigail's class.

Marvelous Monday

Yes, much to my surprise our Monday has gone off fairly well. We have art class, as you may recall, which takes us out for 3 hours. Well this morning the dentist called and they were in need of 2 more x-rays for Abigail. After dropping Joshua off at art, we headed to the dentist office. I was greatly concerned as my Abs usually takes her time with schoolwork and was worried this would be a great excuse to delay even more. But much to my wonder and surprise the girl rocked it out today. She sat so good inside the car and did her work. She even began her work prior to us leaving for art. Again, I am stunned and shocked!!!! Hence, making it a marvelous day.

Last night my eldest was looking for a holiday. As he heard some others were taking the day off for Columbus Day. We reminded him that any time he takes off now we require him to be working the week of Christmas and even New Year's!!!! ... He worked today!

Monday Mayhem

OHHHHHH! Monday mornings may just be the demise of me! I prepared all the things needed for this morning, as we are out the door by 10:30 for 2 1/2 hours thanks to art class, Sunday evening, yet I still had troubles. My sweet daughter (sarcasm) was not happy with the work she needed to do prior to leaving. Then at the place we attend for class, I made her sit at the back of the building to do her work as she not only had todays work but she had to correct some work from Friday as well. I know, mean Mommy! I am really considering sending her back to school in January. I know it would only transfer our problems but I think how happy and joyous and smooth my day would be without her. Okay enough said!!! Just pray for us!!! It is so hard to stay angry at her when she shares her thoughts and ideas with you!! I like to be reminded of how special they really are even though at times it is very difficult to do what I do!

We were suppose to begin our new writing program today. Did not happen as we did not finish school until 5 pm. Ugh!! That really urks me!! Perhaps Tuesday will be better, hopefully, maybe, prayerfully!
