Belize Meeting

This week we are gathering together to start preparing for our missions trip.  It was great to pray together and see the kids working the puppets. 

Also wonderful hearing stories from Kevin and Robin about the many adventures they have had ministering to the people of Belize.

Martin Guitar Factory

For years Bill has been wanting to attend the factory tour for Martin Guitars. Finally today we made it. It was a great experience. 

Missions Trip

Well is has bee in the works for a year. A missions trip to Belize with the youth and parent(s). So Abs, Josh, and I will be leaving on August 4th. 

I am a little nervous as this is my first ever missions. We have a group of 22 most of us new timers. I was encouraged by a friend who has gone before, that BeliZe is a perfect way to start off.  

One of the reasons is due to the relationship we have with the churches there. Over 12 years in the making. Another reason is that they are a friendly bunch. Very open and willing to talk about the Gospel. And finally the language most if not all speak English. (Thank you,  God)

So today I received a devotional by way of preparing my heart. Was so excited, I already did lesson 1. Looking forward to going through with the young ones. 

Six Flags Great Adventure.

What a terrific day at the park today. Although it was high temps we enjoyed ourselves. I think people stayed home because lines were not too long. 

Luau Fund Raiser

Since we have around 11 people traveling to Belize with our church, we decided to host a luau for fund raising. Many of us are families or parts of families traveling and the fund raising helps to minimize costs. While it rained, or should I say poured, a big part of the event we still managed to have a decent time. 

13 Already

I can't believe it has been 13 years already. Happy Birthday Abs.

Twice in a Week

Bill and had had the pleasure of each other's company for two dinner dates sans children. Yay!  Monday was our 18th. And Thursday he had to cancel going to a sound lesson because of a work related thing. So he called just as I was getting ready to eat and I reminded him we were without kids, Older  two at youth conference and young one at a friends, and we both agreed we should take advantage of the situation.  Fun. We headed over to QuakerBridge Mall. This mall has been taken over by Simon Malls and they have done a fabulous job. I, who hates to shop, was giddy,  there is a new Cheesecake Factory so that is where we ate. Good food. 

Order in the

Closet. Have this big huge closet that tends to gather loads of junk throughout the school months. The earlier post about purging all came from this closet. Unfortunately I did not take a before picture but here is the after. 

Purge

There is nothing like the feeling of lightening the load around the house. Feels good to throw away things that are clogging shelves. 

Not in the picture is a box for give away. Ahhhh such a freeing feeling. 

18 Years
