Movie Nite
Visiting
We headed to Mike and Rose's house late afternoon. We wanted to see them plus they had some baseball stuff for Ste. Mike played for many years and kept some things. He got gloves, balls, bats, and sun glasses. Thank you!!! My finances thank you. My hubby thanks you. And of course Ste thanks you.

Me, Bill, and Abs
Okay so Saturday afternoon turned out to be a very unusual day for us. Josh was at a sleepover and Stephen went off to the mall with some friends. That left Bill, Abs, and me all by ourselves. We hopped into the car and went out to lunch. My choice was Cheeburger Cheeburger! Really great shakes! I was also hungry for a burger. Well it was sort of a fail as I was unable to eat the burger the traditional way. I had to cut it up thanks to the dental work I have ongoing in my mouth!! (Soon it will be over!) It was delicious nonetheless. I did not order a shake but did finish both Abs's and Bill's. Hehehehehehehe!
Afterwards we headed out to Lowe's. We are building a garden this year!! Very excited here in the Shea household. Bill bought the book All new Square Foot Gardening and we will be starting small. We purchased some seeds have some already started in the house. I have more to get underway this week in order for us to be able to enjoy the harvest early summer!!!!

Dentist
Here I go again. It seems as though most of my life back here on the east-coast has been riddled with dentist appointments. Suffice it to say my teeth are, well were, horrible. The upside is that I should be done when this tooth is finished. It will hopefully go to just maintenance. I'll be praying for that. But I think Bill will be praying harder as there is not any good dental coverage. I always blow through my allowances. I suspect withdrawals will occur when all is said and done.

Finishing up Disney
While go through the pictures I found some more that I wanted to share. Enjoy! The boys had the opportunity to go back to Epcot on Friday while some of us were back at infection station 101!!
Foul Friday into Set off Saturday
The title has double meaning. 1st and foremost the smell was horrible. 2nd is was another sick day. I started getting sick this day. Abi was running slight fever and had some congestion. Then Bill around 10 pm or so was visiting the throne. I know, I know, TMI but face it this was our vacation.
With little to no sleep I was roused by Josh. You know what's coming, the next victim. We could not get out of that place fast enough. (It was still to early to leave about 4 am.) We rested some more and I was able to get two solid hours of sleep. We packed up as quick as we physically could and set off for our ride home. While hoping and praying to get home in one day, I was skeptical as I had no more that 8 hours sleep in the previous 3 nights.
Made good time. Hit some accidents. It was bike week in Orlando and they did not fair so well on the ride home. It was not a good sight when we passed one accident. Prayers went for that one.
With many stops later and more traffic we were able to make it to Virginia about midnight for some sleep. Let's just say that we would not have made it that far but the Lord had other plans. A whole hour prior we began stopping to find a place but they were booked!!! Bill looked on iPad and found a place so we forged forward. The best thing was that we only had a few hours of drive time then on Sunday. 5 hours!!!
As for this vacation... It has cured me of Disney. I have no desire to go back anytime soon. The entire vacation was very unusual for us. The kids even were not happy with this one. Stephen said it was the worst vacation ever. I could not dispute that.

Worst Wednesday into Terrible Thursday
While walking down main street to exit the place, my Abs gets sick. Let's just say it was ugly!! It was the start of a horrible night. The worst night of my life as a Mom. I have never seen anyone like that. (I know why I did not choose the medical profession.)
I was awake all night. Cleaning and washing and scrubbing everything in sight. Everything that she contaminated. And let's just say she contaminated it all. Bill was a trooper doing what he could. He too got little to no sleep. Every time she made a noise we jumped up in the bed to make sure she was okay. Yes, we did place her in our room because she was that bad. She was so out of it, I had to wake her up to let her know she needed to be cleaned. And her response was, "Oh, I did it again?" We were worried we would need to take her to get some fluids pumped into her.
But Thursday, while not as bad as Wednesday, is still pretty terrible. God is so good as this was to be our down day. We had nothing scheduled. Stephen went with Mike and Rose to a spring training game so we were just going to hang by pool and go walking around Boardwalk or Downtown. But we have her quarantined in the room so as to not let this spread.
As I stated in earlier posts there has been sickness going around and so far Abs has it the worst hands down. No one has even come close. But now the remaining ones of us not sick are wondering if and when will be ours and how bad.
BTW - while typing this I received a message from Rose that Mike is feeling queasy so they are leaving game early and coming back to house.
Safe to say this will be a vacation that will live in infamy in the Shea family.
Mike did in fact get sick at the ball game and on the ride back home. Stephen was the calm in the car. Rose is not good at driving places she doesn't know and when Mike needed her to stop, Ste helped guide her over to the shoulder. Crazy crazy crazy!!!!

Chef Mickey and Magic Kingdom
I absolutely love Chef Mickey's at The Contemporary. So when we were booking the vacation, I asked if everyone would be interested in doing this. All said yes! Based on the size of our party (13) and how crowded the park is this week I was only able to get a Wednesday reservation at 10:40. We made the executive decision to leave the house at 9 am and head straight there. Besides the confirmation suggests you give your party 1 1/2 hours travel time for your reservation. We made it to the restaurant 45 minutes prior to our seating. Needless to say we had some very hungry people by the time we were seated. Besides the yummy food we get to see Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, and Goofy! I think these are the best characters, also another reason to book this place. We had some miscommunication with the staff but it all worked itself out and everyone was satisfied with their experience (or so they said).
Of to the park. It was much easier to separate here as we have such varying heights, ages, and desires. Bill, kids, and I were able to get some fun things in when we get a call from his sister that his mom is sick and needs to get back to house. Bill volunteers to do this. (Isn't he great?!?!) The kids and I were able to meet up with Mike and Rose, so we did some rides together. Bill made it back for some rides and food. On our way out we got caught in some rain, so we decided to do 2 more rides in order to not get drenched.
Josh got this hat at Downtown Disney. Very cool. |
On Monorail to Contemporary |
The girls. |
Waiting for our table. We were 45 minutes early. |
More of the group waiting. Thankfully they have TV. |
Just some of the yummy food!!! |
Okay not sure what is happening here. Probable leave me alone so I can eat! |
Rose is putting on a good face but inwardly she is freaked out over characters. (Sorry Rose but we still love you!) |
Julia was not up for this breakfast. |
Stephen with Rebecca!! Too cute!!! |
The Castle!!! |
Waiting in Pirates of the Caribbean. |
More waiting. Actually there was not a lot of waiting. The wait was less than 10 mins. |
The People Mover. Always fun! |
Look out evil Emporer Zurg!! |
People Mover a second time. |
Dinner. This is Abs just hours before getting sick. You would never know it was coming. |
Mike and Rose infront of the Castle at night!!! |
As a result of Bill leaving the park we are without pictures from the day. But in all honesty a lot of it was spent waiting around. We did get on a few more rides after dinner but the rain came so we had to leave. Which was good as Abs lost it on the way out!! Poor Main Street!!!
